My passion is to breed healthy Golden Retriever puppies for both AKC conformation & performance, as well as connect them with loving forever homes.
My dogs are considered members of my family, & they get the best care I can provide. I leverage the science of genetics, health, & behavior to create a happy & healthy puppy. My priorities when breeding are health and temperament, and I strive to improve the line with each generation by seeking out complementary traits in compatible puppy parents, evaluating pedigrees and genetic testing and of course hands on when possible. All of my dogs receive their hips, elbows, eye and heart clearances from the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) before there is any thought to breeding them. I go a step further and also do all the genetic testing for genetic defects to avoid breeding flaws. My Facebook Group, "Raya Golden Retrievers" is where owners interact and view the latest information on feeding, training, grooming, health issues which are posted on a regular basis. I'm there for my puppies for life!
Puppies receive their first set of shots, microchip and vet exam. Limited AKC registration for pet puppies with Spay/neuter contract at 18-24 months. They also receive a pet take home bag and booklet on their care.
I ensure each puppy gets proper health care prior to rehoming. I guarantee my puppies via Vet health certificate and ability to be examined by their own vet within a time period. I also am not without reason on certain conditions that are within my control.
My puppies are raised and trained in my home. I put a lot of care into socializing my puppies so they can transition easily into their new lives with their forever families. Be sure to check out my "Our Dogs" Page for my latest litter announcement.
I look forward to connecting with you!

It is important to select a puppy from a reputable breeder, but how do you know if that person is reputable? There are loads of backyard breeders with fancy websites and cute pictures. What separates the reputable breeder from the rest? There are a number of conditions. First, are they actively pursuing AKC Titles of some kind (i.e. are they breeding to improve on their stock for a reason). Second, are they fully screening their own dogs for health clearances and genetic conditions. Third, are they selecting mates for their dogs that meet the same health clearances as well as being temperamentally sound? How do you know this? Get registered names of Sires and dams, ask to see the AKC registration certificate. Take a picture of it with your phone, then check the ofa.org website to see if they genuinely are getting at least the 4 main clearances. Ask to see certificates and verify they are for the sire and dam. Here are some great links to help you.
